The Fundamentals Of Illustration By Lawrence Zeegen
At the start of my course my tutor recommended this book. I bought it but didn't actually take the time to read it properly, which now I feel really silly for not doing because recently I decided to start reading it (Im about half way through) and found just how helpful it is. The book includes all the skills and information needed to work within the industry along with examples of work and interviews from well known illustrators.
