Collage

These are two examples of work i recently submitted for my portfolio. It was a collage based project where i had to pick two contrasting magazines (One that i would normally read & the other that i would never normally read)  and try and make them work together. The two magazines i chose were Cosmopolitan and The New Economy. My main aim was try to pick magazines that i knew would have some really interesting imagery to work with. The project was actually a lot harder than i had expected it to be but i did really enjoy it. I had never really done much collage at all so i liked being able to use different papers and also tactile items such as the string, buttons, lace and masking tape which i feel just adds more texture. I was really pleased with how they turned out as i felt i managed to successfully work with both magazines and create some interesting pieces.
